Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, visited the PDMA Headquarters
Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, visited the PDMA Headquarters and reviewed the Authority’s operations and emergency response measures. He also inspected the Provincial Emergency Operations Center (PEOC), where DG PDMA Asfandyar Khattak briefed him on the 24/7 monitoring system and real-time reporting from affected districts. According to PDMA, recent rains and flash floods have caused 406 fatalities, 245 injuries, and damage to over 2,800 houses, with Buner being the worst-hit district. The provincial government has released Rs. 2 billion in additional funds to accelerate relief and compensation efforts. Dr. Saif expressed satisfaction over PDMA’s performance, reaffirming that the government will not leave the affected families alone. He stated that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is personally monitoring relief activities and that timely provision of shelter, food, and medicines is being ensured.
